  • About
In the afternoons after school I became well known for my spice mix. I have always been crazy about lemons, and often found a couple hidden away from me in an unused pot, stashed quietly in the bottom of a cupboard by my mother. I would squeeze a lemon or two into one of those brown bowls, then I would open our spice cupboard, pick a few jars, and shower the lemon juice with a pinch of this and a shake of that... some oregano, ground cassia, paprika and hundreds of other things, it seemed. Salt and pepper were always the final additions, while my brother and sister and other neighbourhood friends lined up waiting. Then we would all sit around the bowl, dunking bread in our spice mixture.
