Norwegian Family Feast

Moving inland, our next stop is Norway. Norway is located in northern Europe bordering Sweden, Finland, and Russia. Its long coast borders on multiple bodies of water, including the North Sea, the North Atlantic, the Barents Sea, and the Skagerrak Inlet. The country is the world’s largest exporter of salmon, and Norwegians are responsible for introducing salmon to the Japanese as an ingredient for sushi. Norway’s national symbol is the lion. When an author publishes a book in Norway, the government purchases 1,000 copies of each title and then distributes the books to their libraries. Norway is the wealthiest country in the world. Norwegian public universities are free to attend, regardless of nationality or citizenship.
