  • About
You would think that January is a drab and cold month where everyone is trying to get back into a healthy routine after the excesses of Christmas and Hogmanay, but let me tell you, it’s amazing for a fruit and veg shop. Everyone is trying to get their five-a-day, and what better way to do this than by having soup for lunch or dinner?
January also has some amazing ingredients bang in season. Citrus fruit is as good as it gets with Seville oranges and the sweetest clementines. In the veg world, there’s nothing better than some turnip on Burns Night or using super sweet carrots and parsnips and balancing them with spices and fruits in soups and casseroles.
