Dani Valent is an award-winning writer with a particular interest in food. Her restaurant reviews and articles have appeared in The Age, Gourmet Traveller and many other publications since 1999 and she has been restaurant critic for the Sunday Age since 2006. She has written profiles of many of the world’s best chefs, including Heston Blumenthal, Ben Shewry and Yotam Ottolenghi. Her two cookbooks, In the Mix: Great Thermomix Recipes and In the Mix 2: More Great Thermomix Recipes have been greeted with sell-out cooking classes in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and South Africa. Both books have been honoured as among ‘the best in the world’ in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Dani is an ambassador for FareShare, an organisation which turns rescued food into healthy meals for those in need.
