Florian Pinel

Florian Pinel is a Senior Technical Staff Engineer in the Watson Life department of the IBM Watson Group. He received a M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Paris in France, and a Culinary Arts diploma from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York. 
Before joining the Watson Group, Florian worked at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center for fifteen years. He's currently the lead engineer for the Chef Watson project. 
Florian also worked part-time in high-end restaurants in New York City for several years. He now spends his spare time writing his food blog Food Perestroika, and traveling throughout Eastern Europe.
