For the past 21 years Julie Gibbs has worked as a publisher for Penguin in Australia. Her personal love has been food books and many have become classics including The Cook’s Companion by Stephanie Alexander, Thai Food by David Thompson and Maggie’s Harvest by Maggie Beer. From 2004 until 2015 she was the publisher of the Lantern imprint whose authors also include Guillaume Brahimi, Simon Bryant, George Calombaris, Frank Camorra, Silvia Colloca, Rodney Dunn, Manu Feildel, Lucio Galletto, Guy Grossi, David Herbert, Belinda Jeffery, Kylie Kwong, Christine Manfield, Karen Martini, Andrew McConnell, Gary Mehigan, Matt Moran, Indira Naidoo, Damien Pignolet, Tobie Puttock and Katie Quinn Davies.
