Alison Swan Parente founded the School of Artisan Food, a registered charity, in order to train people from all backgrounds in artisan food skills. She spent her former working life as a child psychotherapist both in the US and in the UK in the NHS. Alison's lifelong enthusiasm for good food has helped the School to attract great practitioners who are passing their skills in baking, dairy and butchery on to the next generation.
