  • About
Puff pastry, the most elegant and sophisticated product in the baking repertoire, is often used for its dramatic effect as well as for its flavor and texture. But it can also be the most intimidating pastry to make.
My first attempt at puff pastry was not too bad, even though it lacked expert handling and knowledge. The thin layer of puff pastry began to rise magically in the hot oven, expanding from the top, working downward. Delicate, tender and multilayered, it was heaven to taste and eat. The experience encouraged me to learn more about the principles behind puff pastry.
