  • About

I didn’t fool with any of the barbecue, just ate ham and chicken. And then I had some chicken salad, and Susie wanted me to try some potato salad, so I tried that too, and then we had a good many hot rolls and some stuffed eggs and some pickles and some coconut cake and some chocolate cake. I had been saving myself up for Aunt Rachel’s chess pies and put three on my plate when I started out, but by the time I got to them I wasn’t really hungry and I let Susie eat one of mine.
