Bread is a staple in most homes and what we were all raised on, whether it was in our lunchboxes or served with dinner in some form or another. Bread is also surprisingly very easy and affordable to make and the process is cathartic and soothing – I find the kneading part of bread making very relaxing.
In this chapter you will find a selection of scrumptious homemade bread recipes. Some are old favourites that we all love, such as good ol’ garlic bread for the braai and focaccia for soup nights in winter. I have also included a few of my favourites – the flammkuchen is delicious and if you love pizza, you’ll be making my recipe often.
