Cake is everyone’s idea of a good time—that’s why the major celebrations of life such as birthdays, christenings, Bar Mitzvahs, weddings, and anniversaries are always celebrated with special cakes. I can still remember some of my childhood birthday cakes, but I guess I was already obsessed with baking at an early age. And some of the very first things I tried my hand at were baking cakes.
