DEEPLY ASSOCIATED WITH Kentucky, bourbon is made primarily from corn and aged in new charred oak barrels that give it its unique flavours.
I prefer baking and cooking with bourbon rather than other whiskeys, which can be too strong and “harsh.” Bourbons are more melodious in terms of flavour. Bourbon also has a long history associated with baking in Kentucky, Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi.
No need to spend a lot of money when cooking with bourbon. Jim Bean is perfect.
