After completing catering college in 1988, Jeff joined his brother Chris at Dinham Hall in Ludlow. Then stints at The Savoy Hotel and L’escargot before progressing to the role of Junior Sous Chef at The Michelin-starred Capital Hotel.
In 1994 he was appointed by Nico Ladenis at Chez Nico at 90 Park Lane as Sous Chef and was part of the team that achieved three Michelin stars.
He joined Chris for the conception & opening of Orrery Restaurant in 1997 before taking his first head chefs head chef role at The Greenhouse restaurant in Mayfair.
Jeff spent a year Marco Pierre White’s three Michelin-starred Oak Room,where he was Head Chef , and in 2000 Marco appointed him as Executive Chef at L’Escargot which held a Michelin star for five years in both The Brasserie and Picasso Room restaurants.
In 2005 opened his first restaurant with his brother Chris-Galvin Bistrot de Luxe.
In 2006 Galvin at Windows opened & gained a Michelin star.
In 2009 Galvin La Chapelle and Café A Vin opened and gained a Michelin star & Bib Gourmand respectively.
Awarded the prestigious ‘Catey’ award for Independent Restaurateur of the Year 2010. In 2011 wrote his first cookery book –Galvin a Cook book de Luxe.
Awarded AA Chefs’ of the Year in 2011 and in autumn 2012 opened The Pompadour by Galvin and Galvin Brasserie de Luxe in Edinburgh’s Waldolf Astoria.
In 2014 Jeff achieved the prestigious The Royal Accademy Master of Culinary Arts.
