Sweets for the sweet!

The Caribbean is known for its fabulous variety of unusual fruit so it stands to reason that our desserts and beverages reflect that bounty. Home-made ice creams come in more fruit and spice flavours than commercial brands.
Popular dessert flavours come from local vanilla, banana, guava, allspice, pineapple and coconut. Bread pudding, rum cake, custards and flans are all great favourites. Some traditional desserts, like duckanoo and sweet potato pudding, are made from sweet potatoes.
